BioSense researchers presented their latest work on Electrochemical sensors at YISAC 2026

The Electrochemistry Group at BioSense Institute, led by Dr Zoran Pavlović, participated in the Young Investigators’ Seminar on Analytical Chemistry (YISAC 2026), held in Pardubice, Czech Republic.

BioSense researchers presented the latest results of their work through three oral presentations:

  • Ana Kuprešanin“A Fast, Reliable and Reproducible Electrochemical Sensor for NPK Nutrient Monitoring”
  • Jelena Tomić“Voltammetric Determination of Lead Using Graphene, Ionic Liquid, Nafion and Bismuth-Modified Carbon Electrodes: Method Development and Analytical Characterization”
  • Slavica Mitrović“Electrochemical Performance of Zirconium-Based UiO-67 Composite toward Heavy Metal Sensing in Water”

The presented studies covered the development of electrochemical sensors for nutrient monitoring in agriculture, lead determination and heavy metal detection in water. These research activities have potential applications in environmental monitoring, water safety and the advancement of agricultural production.

Participation in YISAC 2026 provided an opportunity to present BioSense Institute’s current research to the international scientific community, exchange knowledge with young researchers in analytical chemistry and establish connections with colleagues from related scientific disciplines.

In addition to the scientific programme, the conference included networking and social activities that encouraged informal discussions, the exchange of experience and the development of new opportunities for international cooperation.
